Morris Brown College is a private liberal arts college located in Atlanta. Founded in 1881 by the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Morris Brown is one of the citys oldest historically Black colleges. Morris Brown is a coeducational institution that stresses public service as well as academic excellence.

The college seeks to prepare its students for success in todays rapidly changing and culturally diverse world. A high emphasis is placed on management, leadership, technology, and entrepreneurship. Morris Brown College strives to enable academically talented students to achieve their potential and underachieving students to overcome their deficiencies and earn a college degree. Over the last century many Morris Brown alumni have gone on to excel in the fields of business, medicine, education, government, the arts, and public service. Morris Brown College awards Bachelor of Science degrees in two areas: Business Administration and Organizational Management and Leadership. Several majors are available under each area. Business Administration offerings include Business Law, Hospitality Management, Music Industry Administration, and Sports Management. Students seeking a degree in Organizational Management and Leadership may pursue a major such as Executive Leadership, Childcare Management, or Religious Administration. The Organizational Management and Leadership degree may be earned entirely online. It is structured as an accelerated program that can be completed in 18 to 24 months. The small student body and low faculty to student ratio ensures that students at Morris Brown College will have personal interaction with all their professors. The college encourages its students to live on campus and be part of the campus community. A number of campus organizations and clubs are available for student participation. Some of these include student government, business organizations, sports, and musical groups. The Morris Brown College Band has performed at many prestigious events over the years including the Rose Bowl Parade and the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as sporting events. In 2003 Morris Brown College lost its accreditation and federal funding due to financial mismanagement problems. Since then the college has worked diligently to rebuild its programs and its reputation. Morris Brown College recently settled its debt with the U.S. Department of Education and is ready to move ahead to the next chapter in its turnaround plan and to continue its legacy. Morris Brown College is located at 643 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, just south of downtown Atlanta. The campus is just steps away from Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Clark Atlanta University, Atlantas other historically Black colleges. Tours of the Morris Brown campus are available Monday through Thursday from 10am to 3pm.
